Last month was a terrible month for me and my classmates since we got 3 deadlines clashed in one week. My roommates and I all stayed up late every night before that horrible week. Just 12 hours before the deadline, I still had 2500 words to write and several English articles to recite(背诵). I had to drink several cups of coffee to prevent me from falling asleep and I finally finished my essay before six oclock. However, I had got to sit the English oral test before I handed in my essay and the test began early in the morning. I had no other options but only slept for an hour and then got up at 7 oclock to review my oral presentation. To tell you the truth, that feeling sucked. I got to the test room ten minutes before its start and I could think of nothing since I didnt get enough sleep. With the time passing by, I felt into desperation(绝望) and I could hardly speak out a whole sentence. Its my worst test performance in the history. After the test, I went to faculty office to hand in my essay, but the copy machine there didnt work. What an day! That was really the most hectic(忙乱的) and memorable experience for me, and I learn a lesson that I should prepare everything early and have a good rest on the important day.

Actually, there are quite a lot of popular leisure activities people would like to do near the sea, such as strolling along the beach, writing characters or drawing pictures on the sand, or just playing beach volleyball with a bunch of playmates. There's something I would like to do when I am at the beach in my hometown - is definitely digging into sand for shellfish such asclams.

Lucky for me I grew up near the sea. When I was little, I could go there everyday with my playmates, doing all kinds of fun things. It was more like a large playground for us.

Digging into sand is my favorite seaside activity，and it is a very relaxing activity andminimal thinking is required. All you need to do is keep digging slowly and gently. If you dig them with great strength, you would probably end up with lots of smashed shells. Each time I can bring home a little bucket of clams.

Digging into sand doesn't necessarily mean that I am very patient. I just love to spend hours doing things I like. And I bet few people wouldn't love digging clams as it is so easy and fulfilling. You can imagine how happy I am carrying so many clams home before sunset. Because of me, my family would have one more palatable dish on the table.

Well, I in my life I have tasted so many birthday cakes, anniversary cakes, and marriage cakes. But after reading the word “special cake”, there’s only one cake which I think is special. So here I would talk about it.

It is a red velvet cake. Red Velvet cake is a red or red-brown layer cake and this cake is usually topped with yummy cream cheese frosting. Unlike normal cakes, this cake has a blood red interior.It'ss common ingredients include buttermilk, butter, cocoa, and flour for the cake, beetroot for the colour.

As it is commonly served on Christmas or Valentine's Day, So I got chance to taste this cake last year.

I tasted this cake in a Christmas Party held at Hyatt Hotel in Ludhiana. Overall, it was a Christmas party with lots of fun and games. Hopefully, I would be going there this year also.

As I said earlier I tasted this cake in a party, so I had this cake with everyone who was present in the party. No doubt, majority of them were not known to me, but while celebrating, we all enjoyed the party together. I was familiar there with only one person, and that was my friend – Barack Obama.

Well, I believe this cake is very special. It is because for the first time in my life, I tasted a cake which was red in colour. Moreover, it was 4 tier cake. And interesting this about this cake is that Red velvet cake is colored with beets, instead of artificial food colouring. This cake is also called as “red Waldorf cake,” “red carpet cake,” “red mystery cake,” “flame cake,” and “$300 cake”.

I’m not actually very interested in sport, but there was an occasion a few years ago when I went to see a football match in a town about half an hour from where I live. It was a charity match – I think they were collecting funds for the local school – and it was very well attended. I think there must have been over 5,000 people there, which isn’t bad considering there aren’t any ‘star’ players.

I only went because a friend of mine really wanted to go but didn’t want to watch it on his own, so in the end there were a small group of us. One of the other people we went with was going anyway because his brother was in one of the teams, so it made it a lot more fun to have a team to support, otherwise I wouldn’t have really minded either way who won!

Although I did enjoy it, it hasn’t made me want to go back and see another game – it was good fun mostly because of the people I was with – we were only half focused on the game and spent the rest of the time just chatting or eating – we’d taken a picnic with us and it was a beautiful day! After the match, we met a lot of new people in the park – most people stayed for at least a few hours after the game just enjoying the sunshine.

As I mentioned, I’m not that interested in sport, but I do watch some of the World Cup games when they are on television – it’s a lot more fun than just following a local or national team, and there’s a lot more going on in the crowd. When Germany won the world cup not too long ago, there was a small group of German people in my town that had a 24 hour party and invited everyone – it was such a good atmosphere!
